Mechanical integrity of thermoplastics structural composites

Internship Description

A studentship opportunity is available in close collaboration with a major industry for the optimization of thermoplastic tapes for automotive applications. A micromechanical tool has been developed in the team for the simulation of integrity knowing the microstructure of the composite. The objective will be to use and improve that tool in order to determine the main parameters influencing on the final performance of the tape. The inolved student will become expert in Abaqus as well as in composite characterization. The involved student is expected to participate in writing journal publications and presenting research at conferences. ​​​
