Project Description

Inhibititory interneurons in the cortex are gatekeepers and modulators of information flow within the brain. In this project, we will dissect the intricate interplay between specific interneuron types in the visual cortex and investigate novel microcircuits involved in diverse modes of sensory processing. We will use in vitro electrophysiology, structural and functional imaging to address our questions.
