Understanding the role of climate change in carbonate diagenesis

Apply

Project Description

The process of diagenesis and alteration of biological materials post deposition is not well understood. However it is important for a better understanding of the carbon cycle and the role of lithification. Here we ask the question as to how climate change affects diagenetic proceses in tropical shallow-water sediments. An experimental approach is envisioned to investigate those alterations through time.
