We are happy to share that we have been recognized as a 2022 Gold Standard Host by Oxford University for our flagship internship program. The recognition was given based on criteria such as overall quality of feedback from interns, level of responsiveness to communications from students and consistency of internship provision.

In 2022, almost a hundred interns from institutions such as Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign), University of Porto, University of Warwick, Polytechnic University of Milan and many others arrived in KAUST and worked with our faculty mentors on projects spanning artificial intelligence, food and water security, smart health, marine conservation, and sustainable energy among others. Working on collaborative and interdisciplinary projects, they have fostered solutions which not only deliver results but also encouraged exploring new and innovative technology which impact society.
